The Instructional Media Center (IMC) is located in the Computer Center, with service spread across the University of Maine at Farmington campus. The media center's mission is to provide instructional support services in selection, use, and production of educational media and multimedia to the total campus community. Media center staff assist in the planning, design, and development of educational media as determined by various instructional needs and strategies.

The media center consists of the Multimedia Technology Laboratory, three photographic darkrooms, and video services. Media center staff are available for consultation, instruction, and the provision of assistance in media technology support areas.
